Access to firms
Because of the special relationship Beta Alpha Psi has with employers, membership in provides unique and exclusive access to firms, both furthering your outside-the-classroom education and providing excellent networking opportunities. Through Professional Meetings and Professional Trips, members and pledges can meet with firms earlier and more frequently, increasing their visibility to recruiters and connections with professionals.
Events are meant to expose members to both public accounting and corporate accounting. Therefore, BAP seeks not only to facilitate students' connections with possible future employers, but also to expose members and pledges to the information essential in choosing the accounting path for them.
Community Involvement
Members and pledges participate in a plethora of service projects and events in the Madison area and within UW-Madison, donating 100s of hours in total per semester. Recent examples include:
Making cards for residents of assisted living centers
Peer tutoring of fellow accounting students
Collecting non-perishable food items for local food pantries
Putting together book kits and school supply kits for children
