Pledge Requirements
The following requirements must be met in order to successfully pledge the Sigma Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi:
Must be enrolled in or have completed AIS 301 (or equivalent) AND must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all accounting courses taken

Pay pledge dues of $95.00. Dues must be paid by the date of the second professional meeting. Pledge dues can be paid in three ways: by check (payable to Beta Alpha Psi), by credit/debit card, or online. Pledges who do not pay by this date will be dropped from the pledge class and may re-pledge the following semester, if they qualify.
Attend all three pledge social events, all four professional meetings and elections during their pledge semester. Once they have satisfied the requirements, pledges are required to attend initiation ceremony, held in the following semester.
Pledges must attend at least one general member social event in addition to the pledge socials.
Complete four hours of community service, two of which must be Beta-sponsored. There are several opportunities to satisfy this requirement; they will be discussed at the information session and each professional meeting.

Member Requirements
The Sigma Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi recognizes two different levels of membership:
Member in Good Standing
Attend at least two Beta Alpha Psi professional meetings
Attend at least one Beta Alpha Psi social event
Pay dues of $40.00 on time
Complete at least two community service hours during the semester with Beta (through tutoring or through Beta-sponsored events)
Superior Member
Resident Student Member
The first option for achieving “Superior Member “ status:
The member must attend at least three Beta Alpha Psi Professional Meetings
The member must pay their dues on time ($40.00)
The member must complete at least six hours of community service throughout the semester, two of which must be from a Beta Alpha Psi-sponsored community service event
The member must attend at least one Beta Alpha Psi social event
The second option for achieving “Superior Member” status:
The member must attend at least two Beta Alpha Psi Professional Meetings
The member must serve on a Beta Alpha Psi committee
The member must pay their dues on time ($40.00)
The member must complete at least six hours of community service throughout the semester, two of which must be from a Beta Alpha Psi-sponsored community service event
The member must attend at least one Beta Alpha Psi social event
Non-Resident Student Member:
A non-resident student member is a member who will participate in one of the following during the semester:
An internship
A work opportunity outside of Dane County
An opportunity to study at another institution
A non-resident student member may achieve “Superior Member” status if the member previously qualified for “Superior Member” status and notified the Executive Committee, in writing, at the beginning of the semester of their intent to become a non-resident student member.
